MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with World Series of Fighting 30 middleweight Dave Branch as he prepare for his upcoming title defense this Saturday night (April 2, 2016) against Clifford Starks at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The current two-division champ feels that he’s healthy now for the first time in several years and he’s going to enter this upcoming title defense with motivation to win in convincing and aggressive fashion:
“There’s a mental switch that definitely went off in my head and you’ll see it in this fight where I just don’t give a shit. I’m just gonna go forward and I’m gonna get it done. Not stupid, but I’m not gonna stay at bay and play a fencing game. I’m gonna go there invade the guy’s space and make a god damn fight out of it. Sometimes, there’s a switch where fighters just accept the violence and I accept it. I’d rather be the one dishing it than worrying about being the one getting it.”
