MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 189 flyweight Louis Smolka as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card fight this Saturday night (July 11, 2015) against Neil Seery at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The talented Hawaiian youngster has done his homework in preparation for Seery and he feels like he’s come up with a solid plan of attack for the veteran Irishman:
“[Neil Serry]’s a pressure-boxer from what I’ve seen. He likes to really plant, pressure and come forward. I’ve been trying to work with that with a pressure-based style, come up with gameplans to work around it, pick up on his tendencies. I noticed he likes to switch stance every now and then, likes big punches. Without giving too much away, I feel like I’ve kinda figured it out and we have a good gameplan in place… We’re gonna do certain things to make the fight happen the way I want it to happen.”
