UFC Fight Night 47’s Tom Watson: ‘I have confidence to finish anybody’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 47 middleweight Tom Watson as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout against Sam Alvey this Saturday (August 16, 2014) at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine.

The veteran UK fighter has changed things up with his training, and despite having a losing UFC record, he’s still as confident as ever:

“I think I can finish him. I have confidence in myself to finish anybody at middleweight. Particularly further into my career, my finishes have come by knockout. When I first started I got decisions earlier in my career but my last three wins are all by knockout. My fights in the UFC, I had improvements. The Thales Leites fight in Brazil, the worst thing that could happen to me was getting dominated on the ground for 15 minutes but I didn’t get submitted. I cracked him a few times on the feet as well. I feel I’m getting better, and with some improvement, maybe being smarter, I easily could have knocked out every one of the people I’ve fought in the UFC so far.”
