There have been several changes and announcements made recently with upcoming UFC events, and it’s time those new fights had betting odds.
UFC Fight Night 122 takes place in Shanghai, China on November 25th. It originally featured a middleweight clash between Anderson Silva and Kelvin Gastelum, but Silva was removed after testing positive in his USADA screening. Out goes Silva, in comes recently dethroned UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping, who lost his title in the main event of UFC 217 earlier this month.
UFC 218 was supposed to feature a featherweight main event between champion Max Holloway and challenger Frankie Edgar in Detroit, Michigan on December 2nd, but Edgar was forced to pull out with an injury which required surgery. Instead, Holloway will defend his belt against the man he defeated to unify the 145-pound titles, Jose Aldo. Aldo is the longest reigning featherweight champion in UFC history, but he originally lost his belt to Conor McGregor, regained it against Frankie Edgar, then lost it again via third round TKO to Holloway.
One week later in Fresno, California, Cub Swanson takes on Brian Ortega in a featherweight showdown. Swanson is a stalwart of the 145-pound weight class while Ortega has worked his way up the rankings with repeated come-from-behind victories. The winner could cement themselfs as a title challenger.
Last but not least, UFC on Fox 26 is December 16th in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and it features what many expect to be a thrilling battle between former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. Both Lawler and dos Anjos are near the top of the 170-pound division and could earn a shot at the belt with a victory.
