480 At the beginning of every month, I feature my recurring “Veteran Watch” article, which takes a look at some notable veterans competing on the regional/overseas circuit. In this article, I recap how these veteran fighters fared in their respective bouts for the month of February. February 4th – KOTC: Heavy Trauma (Lincoln City, Oregon) Fabiano Scherner (11-10) vs. Tony Lopez (46-24-0)  Bout cancelled per Tapology.   February 10th – ONE Championship: Throne of Tigers (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) Ev Ting def. Kamal Shalorus  via Split Decision Ting has now won seven of his last eight fights, while Shalorus drops to 2-2 in his last four fights.   February 11th – Road FC 36 (Seoul, South Korea) Riki Fukuda def. Nae Chul Kim via Unanimous Decision Fukuda has now won five of his last six fights while Kim had his four-fight win streak snapped. Chang Hyun Kim def. Andy Main via Unanimous Decision.  Kim has now won two of his last three fights while TUF 12 vet Main had his three-fight win streak snapped. Leo Kuntz def. Young Gi Hong via Submission (Choke) at 1:47, RD. 3 UFC vet Kuntz earned his first win since his UFC release in 2015 and handed Hong his third straight loss. Ronys Torres def. Ermek Tlauov via Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 4:59, RD. 1 WSOF and UFC vet Torres earned his ninth straight win and hasn’t lost a fight since 2012. Tlauov had his 10-fight win streak snapped.   February 18th – Tankō Fighting Championships 3 (Manchester, England) Karl Amoussou def. Matt Inman via TKO at 3:13, RD. 1 Strikeforce/Bellator vet Amoussou improved his winning streak to seven straight while Iman dropped to 2-2 in his last four fights. Vaughan Lee (14-12-1) vs. Nathaniel Wood (9-3) Bout cancelled due to medical issues with Wood. Che Mills (16-9 ) vs. Thomas Robertsen (5-0)  Bout cancelled due to an injury to Mills.   February 17th – Fight Time 35: A New Era (Miami, Florida) Vagner Rocha def. Yoislandy Izquierdo via Unanimous Decision Rocha has now won three in a row while Izquierdo dropped to 1-2 in his last three fights.   February 17th – LFA 4 (Bossier City, Louisiana) Kevin Aguilar def. Damon Jackson via TKO (Punches) at 4:05, RD. 3  Aguilar improved his winning streak to four straight and hasn’t lost since 2013. Jackson had his two-fight win streak snapped.   February 18th – CFFC 63 (Atlantic City, New Jersey)  Tim Williams def. Jay Silva via Unanimous Decision TUF 19 competitor Williams earned his fifth straight win as he defeats UFC vet Jay Silva, who replaced Eric Roncoroni. Nick Pace def. Ahmet Kayretli via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 3:47, RD. 3 UFC vet Pace earned his first win since 2015 and has now won back-to-back fights for the first time since 2010. Kayretli had his four-fight win streak snapped.   February 18th – Aspera FC 49 (Santa Catarina, Brazil)  Thiago Tavares def. Mauricio Machado at 0:49, RD. 1  Tavares earned his first win outside the UFC since 2006 while Machado has now lost two straight fights.   February 24th – BAMMA 28 (Belfast, Northern Ireland)  Norman Parke def. Paul Redmond via Majority Decision  Parke improved to 2-0 since his UFC release last year while Redmond has now lost three of his last four fights. Damien Lapilus def. Ronnie Mann via Unanimous Decision  Lapilus has now alternated between wins and losses in his last five fights. Bellator vet Mann has now dropped three of his last five fights. Alex Lohore def. Colin Fletcher via Submission (Choke) at 2:42, RD. 2  Lohore improved his overall record to 11-1 while UFC vet Fletcher has lost four of his last six fights.   February 25th – Full Metal Dojo 13: Concrete Jungle Where Dreams are Made Of (Bangkok, Thailand)  Tommy Hayden def. Will Chope via Unanimous Decision.  Hayden has now won three straight fights while Chop has dropped his last three.   February 25th – Deep Jewels 15 (Tokyo, Japan)  Reina Miura def. Shayna Baszler via Unanimous Decision.  Miura has now won back-to-back fights while Baszler has lost three straight fights and hasn’t won since 2012.   February 25th – KC Fighting Alliance 22 (Independence, Missouri)3 Chuka Willis def. William Joplin  WSOF/Bellator vet Willis has now won four of his last five fights but didn’t capture the KCFA featherweight title because he missed weight. Willis was initially slated to take on Grant Dawson, but Dawson missed weight and didn’t even weigh in. Joplin has now lost two of his last three fights.   February 25th – Gleamon FC 1 (Seoul, South Korea)  Akihiro Gono (34-20-8) vs. Jang Yong Kim (8-6-1)  Bout cancelled per Tapology.   Is there a notable MMA veteran competing this month that I missed?
