Titan FC 43’s Jose “Shorty” Torres: ‘This is a big fight for me to take, and I decided to take that fight’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Titan FC 43 flyweight Jose “Shorty” Torres in advance of his interim title bout against Pedro Nobre this Saturday (January 21, 2017) at Watsco Center Field House in Coral Gables, Florida.

Torres talks about his rescheduled championship bout versus Nobre, who originally said he suffered a torn ACL:

“At first, the doctor said it was a big ACL tear, and (Nobre’s) out for a year. So what’s changed? Basically, my assumption is, he had a weight-cutting problem. He had a weight-cutting problem before. But in this case, he doesn’t make weight, and he shows up, then he fights for no belt. If he beats me, there’s no belt. If he doesn’t make weight, then I’m getting 20 percent of his commission. So it was a lose-lose for him in a sense. I’m really, really hoping he makes weight this time. This is a big fight for me to take, and I decided to take that fight.
