Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC 320 Opening Odds:
- In the main event of UFC 320, we have a rematch for the UFC light heavyweight title between champion Magomed Ankalaev and challenger Alex Pereira. Ankalaev has won his last three fights in a row, including beating Pereira by decision at UFC 313 in March to take the title. As for Pereira, he won five fights in a row before losing his belt to Ankalaev earlier this year. These two fought to a very close decision at UFC 313, and this rematch should be close, too. That being said, since Ankalaev is now the champion, he is the rightful betting favorite to defend his belt in this rematch.
- In the co-main event, the UFC bantamweight championship is on the line between champion Merab Dvalishvili and challenger Cory Sandhagen. Dvalishvili is one of the best P4P fighters in MMA today, holding a 13-2 record in the UFC with a 13-fight win streak. Sandhagen, meanwhile, has won four of his last five fights, including a TKO win over Deiveson Figueiredo in his last outing that earned him this title shot. As good as Sandhagen is, Dvalishvili is one of the best fighters in the sport today, and he has earned his rightful status as the favorite here.
