Probably my favorite fight on the entire card sees two light heavyweight contenders looking to get another title shot as betting favorite Jiri Prochazka meets Khalil Rountree Jr. in the PPV portion of UFC 320 in Las Vegas.
I am taking Rountree here. He looked really sharp in the win over Hill. He fought smart and was extremely patient on his feet. If Rountree can fight anywhere close to that again here against Prochazka, I think he has a really great chance at winning. He has the better chin if they get into exchanges, and we know Jiri to get very wild in the octagon and get caught. Whether that happens again is left to be seen, but I do think it is a dog or pass situation. I can see the case for a Jiri win – maybe he just overwhelms Rountree from the get-go with his pressure, and the power he possesses works in his favor. I just do not want to back him as a (-215) favorite in a fight where his opponent is just as, if not more technical in the standup than him, with a way better chin.
The price on Rountree to win by TKO is (+350), which is a good line to take given Jiri’s suspect chin, but I will just be riding the moneyline.
Thanks for reading, and best of luck!
Bet: Khalil Rountree Jr. (+178)
