Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Dana White’s Contender Series 84:
- Headlining this week’s edition of Dana White’s Contender Series is a middleweight bout between Victor Costa and Damian Pinas. Costa lost his first MMA fight in 2021, but he has rebounded since then with eight straight wins to earn this fight on DWCS. As for Pinas, he has won his last three fights in a row to get this fight on DWCS. This should be an awesome fight between two middleweights who love to throw hands and finish fights. Given Costa’s long win streak since his only career defeat in his MMA debut four years ago, he would be my lean to win this fight, although the oddsmakers opened up this bout as a Pick ’em in the odds.
- Also on the card is a bantamweight bout between Louis Jourdain and Magno Dias. Jourdain is the brother of UFC fighter Charles Jourdain, and the Canadian would make a very intriguing addition to the UFC roster if he wins this fight on DWCS in impressive fashion. As for Dias, he has won three straight fights to earn this shot on DWCS. This should be a very fun fight between two prospects who are going for the finish. The oddsmakers opened up Dias as the betting favorite, but the early money has come in on Jourdain to get the win here.
