Here are my quick thoughts on the Noche UFC Opening Odds:
- The main event of Noche UFC is a five-round featherweight bout between Jean Silva and Diego Lopes. Silva is a perfect 5-0 so far in the UFC, and he is coming off a brilliant submission win over Bryce Mitchell in his last bout. The Fighting Nerds have been winning a lot of fights in the Octagon, so many consider Silva as someone who could soon fight for the UFC featherweight title with a few more wins. His opponent, Lopes, has proven to be one of the best featherweights in the UFC since he joined the promotion in 2023, going 5-2 so far inside the Octagon. He is coming off a close loss to UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, but he is no doubt one of the best in the division. Silva opened as the favorite here, but it would be foolish to count Lopes out of winning this fight.
- In the co-main event, we have a bantamweight bout between Rob Font and Raul Rosas Jr. Font is coming off back-to-back wins over Jean Matsumoto and Kyler Phillips, while Rosas Jr. has won four fights in a row. This should be a close fight, and we will see how good Rosas Jr. truly is as this is a big step up in competition.
