UFC Fight Night 88’s Jeremy Stephens: ‘There will be no lay-and-praying here’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 88 featherweight Jeremy Stephens as he prepares for his co-main event bout this Sunday night (May 29, 2016) against Renan Barao at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The “Lil’ Heathen” is expecting a tough scrap against a former world champion but he thinks size will be on his side since both fighters have moved in opposite directions in regards to weight classes:

“Renan’s a guy who comes forward. He likes to fight. He’s not a point fighter. He likes to go for the finish. He’s an ex-world champion. He’s fought a lot of top guys for a long time and I have too. He’s fought at 135 for a long time, he’s cut a lot of weight. I think he’s going to be healthier and he’s coming off two nasty knockout losses and I expect him to be more focused. He likes to bully guys and he does it all. This makes for an exciting fight. There’s going to be no lay-and-praying.”
