UFC 198’s Yancy Medeiros: ‘I can capitalize on Francisco Trinaldo’s habits’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 198 lightweight Patrick Cummins as he prepares for his preliminary card match-up tonight (Saturday, May 14, 2016) against Francisco Trinaldo at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil.

The Hawaii native has done some serious homework on his Brazilian opponent heading into this bout and he feels there are some tendencies he can take advantage of come fight time:

“For the most part, [Francisco Trinaldo’s] style is kickboxing. I’ve seen the Ross Pearson fight and I feel like Ross Pearson’s style made him look good. He got outkickboxed. Pearson wanted to get in there and brawl with him but Trinaldo’s not a brawler like that. He’s not gonna stay in the pocket with you. He’s strong with his attributes but he sticks to hit. He’s strong with his habits and I can capitalize on that. That’s what I’m gonna do in the fight.’
