Legacy FC 52’s Thomas Webb: ‘My gameplan is to get it to the ground’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Legacy FC 52 bantamweight Thomas Webb as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout tonight (Friday, March 25, 2016) against Sean Soriano at The Golden Nugget Casino in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

The talented American Top Team fighter has gone through three opponent changes in advance of this fight and now he’s stepping into the cage opposite a fighter who beat him before:

“I’m really big on studying my opponents now especially at the level I’m at now. The least strength he has is in his wrestling. I’ve seen guys, they grab him with bear hugs and take him down and they wear him out there. If I allow him to just stand and stay comfortable and strike with me, even though I’m really comfortable with my striking, that’s gonna make it a tough night for me. We don’t get paid by the hour. We just get paid by winning. My gameplan is to go in there, get it to the ground and do what I do. But I’m ready for whatever. If we just stand and bang the whole time, I’m down with it. I’ve trained with warriors all the time. I’ve trained at American Top Team with those guys so I’ve prepared myself both mentally and physically for whatever comes on March 25th.”
