Bellator 115’s Cheick Kongo: ‘I don’t want to be the next peg on Vitaly Minakov’s wall’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 115 heavyweight Cheick Kongo as he prepares for his tournament bout on Friday night (April 4, 2014) against Vitaly Minakov at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada.

The former UFC standout had a promising start to his Bellator career when he won a four-man heavyweight tournament to earn a title shot and he’s not going to underestimate the undefeated Minakov

“[Vitaly Minakov] is dangerous and not dangerous. I don’t want to be the next peg on his wall. I’m there to fight him, to face him. He’s dangerous but I do expect it. It’s not easy. I prepare for him the same. I’ve got to do everything I can. This fight is a big deal for me.”
