TUF China Finale Closing Odds & Results

Hatsu Hioki The TUF China Finale went down early Saturday morning from the Venetian in Macao, and overall the show was memorable as it featured a couple standout performances from expected winners and a few surprising upsets from fighters not expected to win. Overall, five betting favorites won while three underdogs cashed. Here’s a betting recap for the TUF China Finale based on the closing results at Several Bookmakers: TUF China Fnale Favorites That Won In the main event of the evening, Dong Hyun Kim defeated John Hathaway via third-round KO (spinning back elbow). It was an amazing and unexpected knockout and certainly one of the best in UFC history. Kim cashed out as a -290 favorite (bet $290 to win $100), while a game Hathaway lost as a +260 dog (bet $100 to win $260). In a heavyweight bout, Matt Mitrione defeated Shawn Jordan via first-round KO (punches). Mitirone’s power was too much for Jordan’s chin to handle and he cashed out as a -115 fav, while Jordan lost as a +105 dog. In a featherweight bout, Hatsu Hioki defeated Ivan Menjivar via unanimous decision. Hioki controlled the ground game in the first two rounds and did enough to take home the decision on the judges’ scorecards to cash as a -475 fav, while Menjivar lost as a +420 dog. In a lightweight bout, Yui Chul Nam defeated Kazuki Tokudome via split decision in one of the best fights of the year. Nam knocked down Tokudome five times in the fight but couldn’t finish him, and Tokudome made things interested with his grappling in rounds two and three. However, the judges correctly sided with Nam and he won as a -200 fav, while Tokudome lost as a +185 dog. In a lightweight bout, bout, Anying Wang defeated Albert Cheng via first-round TKO (doctor stoppage). Wang’s striking looked awesome in this fight and he cashed out as a -140 favorite, while Cheng lost as a +120 dog. TUF China Fnale Underdogs That Won In the co-main event of the evening, Lipeng Zhang defeated Wong Sai via split decision to be crowned The Ultimate Fighter China. The fight was very close and most thought Sai won, but the judges gave it to Zhang and he scored as a big +265 dog, while Sai lost as a -295 fav. In a bantamweight bout, Vaughan Lee outpointed Nam Phan en route to a unanimous decision win. It was an amazing performance by Lee, and he won out as a +150 dog while Phan faltered as a -160 fav. In the opening fight of the night, Mark Eddiva defeated Jumabieke Tuerxun via unanimous decision in a sizeable upset. Eddiva was too strong for Tuerxun and cashed as a big +375 dog, while Tuerxun lost as a -420 favorite.
