Another week, another UFC event. This time, it’s a free show on big network Fox as a pair of former champions square off in a pivotal welterweight match-up for UFC on Fox 26 in Winnipeg, Canada. Former 170-pound champion Robbie Lawler meets former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, with the winner likely propelling themselves into title contention.
Odds for the main event have already been released, but the three other main card bouts still need betting lines.
In the co-main event of the evening, former featherweight title challenger Ricardo Lamas takes on late replacement Josh Emmett. Lamas was supposed to rematch Jose Aldo, but Aldo was used as a substitute to take on Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 218 after an injury to Frankie Edgar. Lamas has won two straight fights since losing a decision to Holloway while Emmett got back on the winning track in his last fight, winning a unanimous decision against Felipe Arantes.
Also on tap is a welterweight contest between a pair of very entertaining strikers in Santiago Ponzinibbio and Mike Perry. Both Perry and Ponzinibbio have finished a majority of their opponents via knockout. Combined, they have won seven straight fights so the winner will likely earn a bout against a top contender.
Last but not least, a highly intriguing light heavyweight fight will take place between top 10 205-pounders Glover Teixeira and Misha Cirkunov. Both men were stopped in their last fights against top contenders Alexander Gustafsson and Volkan Ozdemir respectively, and both are hoping to get back into the mix among the top contenders.
