Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Paris Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Paris is a five-round lightweight bout between Dan Hooker and UFC newcomer Salahdine Parnasse. Hooker is coming off two straight losses to Benoit Saint Denis and Arman Tsarukyan, where he was finished in both fights, snapping a three-fight win streak before that. As for Pransse, he is coming to the UFC fresh off a brutal knockout win over Kenny Cross in MVP MMA, a fight that marked his North American MMA debut. Parnasse has won five straight fights by knockout, and he comes to the UFC with a ton of hype and momentum. Look for him to win this fight by knockout and continue his winning ways.
- In the co-main event, we have Fares Ziam taking on Axel Sola in a lightweight contest. Ziam is coming off a decision loss to Tom Nolan in his last fight that snapped a six-fight win streak. As for Sola, he is 2-1 in the UFC with two stoppage wins. This should be a great fight between two French fighters, but only one can win. Ziam enters as the betting underdog, but don’t count out Sola from potentially pulling off an upset in this spot against Ziam.
