Here are my quick thoughts on the Noche UFC Opening Odds:
- The main event of Noche UFC features Jean Silva taking on Jose Delgado in a five-round featherweight bout. Silva fought at Noche UFC last year when he suffered a brutal knockout loss to Diego Lopes. But he bounced back nicely in his next outing as he defeated Arnold Allen by decision to show that he is still one of the best featherweights in the UFC. As for Delgado, he has won his last two fights, but this is a massive step up in competition when he takes on a top-10 fighter in Silva. While you can’t completely count Delgado out, this should probably be Silva getting his hand raised and moving one step closer to a title shot at 145 lbs.
- In the co-main event, we have former UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno taking on Joseph Morales. Moreno is coming off back-to-back losses, and he does not look like the same fighter he once was. That being said, this is a gigantic step up in competition for Morales against a former UFC champion. While Morales is certainly a live dog here, it’s not going to be easy for Morales to defeat him in this co-main event of Noche UFC
