Road-To-UFC

Road To UFC: Season 2, Episode 4 takes place on Saturday, May 28 at the UFC Performance Institute Shanghai in Shanghai, China. The offshore sportsbooks recently opened up the betting odds for the event, and MMAOB staff writer Adam Martin takes a look at the opening odds below.

Road To UFC: Season 2, Episode 4 Odds

Won Bin Ki -225
Bahatebole Batebolati +185

Chang Ho Lee -240
Rana Rudra Pratap Singh +190

Windri Patilima -155
Shin Haraguchi +125

Zhawupasi Daermisi -225
Eperaim Ginting +185

Sim Kai Xiong -325
Peter Danasoe +250

Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Road To UFC: Season 2, Episode 4

  • At lightweight, Won Bin Ki fights Bahatebole Batebolati. Ki competed in the last season of Road to UFC and he went 1-1 with a knockout win and a knockout loss. Since then, he’s picked up another win to get another shot on the show. Batebolati, on the other hand, went 1-1 in LFA before getting this chance to fight on Road to UFC. Given that Ki has already fought on the show and therefore knows what to expect, he should be the favorite to win this fight. But the odds are pretty tight, so the oddsmakers are giving Batebolati lots of respect for the odds.
  • At bantamweight, Chang Ho Lee faces Rana Rudra Pratap Singh. Lee is coming off of a victory in his last fight but he had lost in Brave CF before that. As for Singh, he is also 1-1 in his last two bouts with a loss in Brave CF, so these two have very similar recent records heading into this fight. Overall, this looks like a pretty competitive fight given both men have similar records. But the oddsmakers are favoring Lee to get the victory in this matchup, as he opened up as a sizeable betting favorite in this contest to get the victory in this year’s season.
