Here are my quick thoughts on the PFL 2022: Week 7:

  • This week’s PFL card features light heavyweight and lightweight semifinals. In the 205lbs semifinals, we have Omari Akhmedov taking on Josh Silveira. Both guys have looked good in PFL this season, but Silveira is the younger fighter with more upside. It’s interesting that both men train out of American Top Team, so they should be very familiar with each other. Based on Silveira’s youth and his impressive record, he opened up a slight betting favorite here. In the other semifinals at 205lbs, Rob Wilkinson takes on Delan Monte. Both guys have a lot of power and someone is likely to get knocked out in this fight. With Wilkinson having the better resume on paper, he opened up as the favorite here, but you shouldn’t sleep on Monte.
  • As for the lightweight semifinals, first, we have Anthony Pettis taking on Stevie Ray in a rematch. They just fought a couple of months ago and Ray submitted Pettis with a modified body triangle. Since he just won against Pettis, Ray is the favorite for this rematch. As for the other semifinals, it’s Olivier Aubin-Mercier against Alex Martinez. With OAM having all of the UFC experience, he opened up as the clear favorite at the betting window to win this fight.
