Bellator 119’s Desmond Green: ‘Daniel Weichel is slow’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 119 featherweight Desmond Green as he prepares for his main event tournament final bout on Friday night (May 9, 2014) against Daniel Weichel at the Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, Canada.

The upstart featherweight has done his research and he feels his speed advantage will be a huge factor come fight time:

“One thing I noticed was, ‘Man, he is slow!’ He doesn’t have any fast muscle twitches, no reflexes. Everything is real methodical, really sought out. He likes the 1-2. To his credit, he doesn’t throw any loopy punches. He’s very technical with 1-2’s, 1’s and 2-1’s right down the middle but the speed aspect isn’t there. As you guys can see, I move non-stop throughout the whole fight. I think that’s gonna be one of the biggest factors. Constant movement and me dictating where the fight goes.”
