Risking 2U on Robert Whittaker at -225.

Adding on 0.5U on Robert Whittaker at -230

Adding on 0.5U on Robert Whittaker at -210

Get ready for a middleweight scrap between Robert Whittaker, 23-6, 31yo, and Marvin Vettori, 18-4 1, 28yo. Although Vettori is a tank, Whittaker’s pinpoint accuracy and movement should be the difference-makers in this bout. Through the years, I’ve been pleasantly surprised with Robert Whittaker’s grappling game, and believe he’ll be able to cancel Vettori out if Marvin looks to get the takedowns and top pressure going. Robert Whittaker should be one step ahead the entire three rounds, and that’s why we pulled the trigger on him at -225. Vettori is tough as nails, and I expect him to put up a good fight until the final bell, though when it is all said and done, Whittaker should get his hand raised. Whittaker is the pick.

Risking 2.5U on Nasrat Haqparast at -188.

Nasrat Haqparast, 13-5, 27yo, faces John Makdessi, 18-7, 37yo, in a lightweight fight at UFC Paris. This matchup has been booked multiple times in recent years, and is now coming to fruition after Makdessi returns from hamstring surgery. Haqparast, of Afghan decent, has called Germany home, and trained out of out of Kings MMA and Tri-Star Gym. Makdessi is primarily a striker, who has found recent success with a controversial win over Ignacio Bahamondes. Makdessi relies on his footwork and striking. That will be put to the test vs Haqparast, who is the much more spry fighter with a wealth of experience. Look for Haqparast to use his 4″ reach advantage and versatile skill-set to cause Makdessi significant issues en route to victory. We locked in Nasrat Haqparast at -188.

Risking 2U on Nassourdine Imavov at -225

Adding on 0.5U to the Imavov play at -225

Nassourdine Imavov, 11-3, 26yo, fighting out of France, takes on Joaquin Buckley, 15-4, 28yo, in a middleweight matchup at UFC Paris. Imavov has impressed many in previous bouts, and appears to be improving every time out. The “Russian Sniper’s” controversial loss to Phil Hawes appeared to light a fire under him, as he showed much improved takedown defense as well as a better gas tank in following bouts vs Ian Heinisch and Edmen Shahbazyan. Imavov is a slick striker who will likely get up on the scorecards early vs Buckley, who is there to be had on the feet. Buckley’s explosive nature can cause many an opponent problems, and he’s recently added some grappling prowess, though that likely is not enough vs Imavov in France. We locked in Nassourdine Imavov at -225.
