Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 141:

  • The main event of LFA 141 is a welterweight bout between Haris Talundzic and Chris Brown. A factoryX product, Talundzic is just 26 years old and he’s already 5-0 in the UFC, with two of his last three wins coming by way of submission. As for Brown, he is a 33-year-old Jackson-Wink product who has a 4-2 record in LFA. However, he is coming off of a split decision loss to Carlos Leal in PFL. Overall, this looks like a fun fight between two talented welterweights, but you have to lean towards Talundzic just due to the fact he has never lost in the cage before.
  • Also on the card is a women’s strawweight bout between Kathryn Paprocki and Kelsey Arnesen. Paprocki was on the last season of The Ultimate Fighter and lost a decision to Laura Gallardo in the house. She lost on Dana White’s Contender Series prior to that, although she does have a prior win in LFA. As for Arnesen, she is just 1-2 as a pro MMA fighter, with all three of her fights coming in LFA. With Arnesen having a sub .500 record, I understand why she is the underdog in this fight. That being said, Paprocki isn’t exactly the most consistent fighter either, so the opening odds on her seem a bit steep here.
