Bellator 272 Pettis vs Horiguchi Prop Betting Selection

While he still may not get the recognition or credit he rightfully deserves Sergio Pettis has built up a really solid resume in his MMA career. Recently capturing the Bellator Bantamweight Championship in May with a decision win over then-champion Just Archuleta. The younger Pettis has developed into a really great fighter and still is just 28 years of age in what feels like he is much older considering how long we have been watching him compete.

Kyoji Horiguchi may be the best bantamweight fighter in MMA. It is a true shame he was let go from the UFC just some years ago as there are just an incredible number of matchups he could be matched up with including former UFC bantamweight champion and current interim champion Petr Yan. Horiguchi is the former RIZIN and Bellator bantamweight champion – he was forced to vacate the Bellator championship due to injury. Horiguchi’s biggest strength is what he plays to and is what makes him such a great fighter and a tough one for opponents to deal with. Horiguchi’s power and speed present such issues for his opponents and they are just gamechangers for him.

While Pettis is a really good fighter and has evolved over time I cannot see him being able to handle the sheer force of problems that Horiguchi brings to the cage.

Prop: Horiguchi Wins By Decision (+145)
