Bellator 267 Betting Selection

Douglas Lima Moneyline (-110)

I have never been particularly in awe of Michael Page’s victories throughout Bellator. He had built up an undefeated record against low caliber fighters and journeymen. Beating the Cyborgs and David Rickels of the world is not doing much for me but he still does have pretty fun knockouts to go along with his fights. It was until he fought Douglas Lima two years ago that he got his first taste of reality and competition. He was knocked out in the second round in what was an astounding knockout by Lima. Lima kicked his leg out from underneath him and then delivered a shot that sent Page back down to the mat.

I think Lima could absolutely finish Page again but it was one of those moments where Page got his base kicked out from him and then was left wide open for a brutal hook by Lima. I expect Page to still control the distance and center of the cage but with more caution in trying to outstrike Lima. Page will try to make sure he is not caught off guard like that again and will be more patient with his shot selection but that will allow Lima to out volume him and take him down if he chooses to. I simply think there are more ways for Douglas Lima to win than there are for Michael Page.

Thanks for reading and best of luck!
