MMA Odds and Ends for Tuesday: DWTNCS 7 winner Mike Santiago faces Zabit Magomedsharipov at UFC Rotterdam

MMAJunkie confirmed Monday that Mike Santiago, fresh off his win over Mark Cherico last week at Dana White’s Contender Series 7, will face Zabit Magomedsharipov this Saturday (September 2, 2017) at UFC Fight Night 115 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Santiago (19-9) earned his sixth straight win by stoppage against Cherico, which pushed his winning streak to 11 straight. The 28-year-old hasn’t lost a fight since January 2014. Magomedsharipov (12-1) will also be making his UFC debut and carries an eight-fight win streak into the Octagon. The 26-year-old will be competing for the first time in over a year.

Joe Lauzon vs. Clay Guida set for UFC Fight Night 120

UFC officials announced Monday that lightweights Joe Lauzon and Clay Guida will clash at UFC Fight Night 120 on November 20th in Norfolk, VA.

Lauzon (27-13) has alternated between wins and losses in his last seven fights. The 33-year-old is coming off a majority-decision loss to Stevie Ray at UFC Fight Night 108 in April. Guida (33-17) snapped a two-fight skid in his last bout, defeating Erik Koch by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 112 in June. The 35-year-old will be looking for back-to-back wins for the first time since 2011.
