PFL 1: Daytona Opening Betting Odds

Formally World Series of Fighting, the Professional Fighters League (PFL) hosts its inaugural event this Friday (June 30, 2017) at 10:30 p.m. (ET) with PFL 1: Fitch vs. Foster. Former WSOF welterweight champion Jon Fitch takes on Brian Foster in the main event.

Fitch (29-7-1) is coming off one of the biggest wins in his career, earning a unanimous-decision win over Jake Shields at WSOF 34 last December. The 39-year-old has won five of his last six fights. Meanwhile, Foster (27-9) moves up to the welterweight division for the first time since 2015. The Factory X product has won three of his last four fights, including a first-round submission victory against Luiz Firmino at WSOF 33 last October.

In the co-main event, highly-touted light heavyweight prospect Smealinho Rama will compete in his second-straight fight at 205 pounds against Ronny Markes. Rama (10-2) is coming off a first-round TKO win over Jake Heun at WSOF 34. Prior to that, the former WSOF heavyweight champion lost his title to Blagoi Ivanov at WSOF 21, which snapped his three-fight win streak. Markes (16-5) has lost two of his last three fights and returns to WSOF for the first time since 2014. The UFC veteran looks to avoid back-to-back losses for the second time in his career.

In the lightweight division, former WSOF title challenger João Zeferino will try for his second win in a row when he takes on Herman Terrado. Zeferino (21-8) is coming off a third-round TKO victory against Jason High at WSOF 33 in October. Terrado (14-3-1) is riding a four-fight unbeaten streak, including three straight wins by stoppage.

Rounding out the main card is a pair of UFC veterans, as High battles Carlos Fodor. High (20-6) looks to avoid suffering consecutive setbacks for the first time since 2010 following the loss to Zeferino. The 35-year-old went 2-1 in WSOF, earning wins over Estevan Payan and Mike Ricci. Fodor (11-5) will be going for his first two-fight win streak since 2014 after earning a unanimous-decision win over his brother Ben at WSOF 32.
