ONE Championship: Light of a Nation takes place at the Thuwunna National Indoor Stadium this Friday (June 30, 2017) at 7 a.m. (ET) on FloCombat.com. In the main event, middleweight champion Vitaly Bigdash will defend his title against Aung La Nsang in a rematch from earlier this year.
Bigdash (9-0) has won eight of his nine career fights by stoppage and is coming off a unanimous-decision victory over Nsang at ONE Championship: Quest for Power in January. The 32-year-old will be competing for just the second time since 2016, and this will be his third straight fight for ONE Championship. Nsang (19-10) had his four-fight win streak snapped in the loss against Bigdash. “The Burmese Python” will look to avoid back-to-back losses for the first time since 2012.
The co-main event pits 26-year-old standout Jenny Huang against Mei Yamaguchi. Huang (5-1) is coming off the first loss of her career when she was submitted by Angela Lee at ONE Championship: Warrior Kingdom in March. The Taiwanese fighter has only gone the distance twice in her career. Yamaguchi (15-10-1) will be looking for her first win since May 2015 as she has lost back-to-back fights. The 35-year-old is coming off a unanimous-decision setback to Istela Nunes at ONE Championship: Heroes of the World in August 2016.
