Alexander Gustafsson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira set for UFC Fight Night 100 MMAFighting reported Wednesday announced that former UFC light heavyweight challenger Alexander Gustafsson will take on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC Fight Night 100. Gustafsson (17-4) snapped a two-fight skid after picking up a unanimous decision victory over Jan Blachowicz at UFC Fight Night 93. Nogueira (22-7) also ended a two-fight losing streak, defeating Patrick Cummins via first-round TKO at UFC 198. UFC Fight Night 100, is set to take place at the Ginásio de Ibirapuera in São Paulo. Josh Burkman vs. newcomer Zak Ottow, Cody East vs. Curtis Blaydes added to UFC Fight Night 96 in Portland As first reported by yours truly last weekend, 16-fight veteran Zak Ottow has signed with the UFC and will face Josh Burkman at UFC Fight Night 96.

Bobby Green was initially slated to take on Burkman, however, “personal issues” have kept the Strikeforce veteran off the card. MMAJunkie confirmed the news with UFC officials last night. Ottow (13-3) heads into his UFC debut four-fight winning streak. The 29-year old was scheduled to face Jos Eichelberger at Legacy FC 60, it now appears Dakota Cochrane will replace him on October 7th. Burkman (28-13) is 1-3 in his last four fights and will be competing for the second time at lightweight. In addition UFC officials recently announced that heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Cody East have also been added to the card. Blaydes (5-1) came up short in his UFC debut earlier this year as he was defeated by Francis Ngannou via TKO at UFC Fight Night 86. East (12-2) also lost his UFC debut earlier this year against Walt Harris at UFC 197. UFC Fight Night 96 takes place at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on October 1st.
