480 Jon Fitch defends welterweight title against Jake Shields at WSOF 34 WSOF President Ray Sefo revealed on ESPN Tuesday that welterweight champion Jon Fitch will fight Jake Shields at WSOF 34 on November 12th. Fitch (28-7-1, 1NC) won the vacant WSOF welterweight title when he defeated Joao Zeferino by decision at WSOF 30 earlier this year. The former UFC title challenger is 4-1 in his last five fights. Shields (31-8-1, 1NC) heads into this matchup off a controversial submission loss to Rousimar Palhares last year at WSOF 22. He is 4-2 in his last six fights and his last two wins have come by submission. WSOF 34 takes place at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland, Colorado on November 12.   UFC 203 Embedded, Episode 2
