Fights to Avoid Betting for Invicta FC 18

Jessamyn DukeInvicta FC 18: Grasso vs Esquibel Date: July 30, 2016 Arena: Scottish Rite Temple City: Kansas City, KS Invicta Fighting Championship (Invicta FC) returns to Kansas with Invicta FC 18: Grasso vs Esquibel. The eight fight card will be streaming live on UFC Fight Pass at 8pm ET. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. My Fights to AVOID betting are: Flyweight bout: Agnieszka Niedzwiedz (-180) vs Christine Stanley (+140) Gabe’s Thoughts: Niedzwiedz is coming off an extended layoff following pregnancy, while Stanley last saw action just a couple months ago at Invicta FC 17, where she picked up a dominant unanimous decision victory over Shannon Sinn to put herself at four wins in a row. I think this is a close fight at 125-pounds and at the current odds, I think this is a “dog or pass” situation. I cannot fault anybody for taking a shot on the dog here, however I am personally going to opt to pass. There are too many question marks surrounding this fight to make me feel confident in pulling the trigger on a play. At the current odds, I think Stanley is the play, but I think this is a fight that is best to stay away from, so I say avoid this one at the sportsbooks this evening. Gabe’s Call: Stanley by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID Bantamweight bout: Cindy Dandois (-185) vs Jessamyn Duke (+145) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Dandois is the better fighter of the two here entering this match-up and do feel she is a rightful betting favorite. However, I think she should be a 2-to-1 favorite, so I don’t really see value in her at her current offering price of -185. Perhaps if more action continues to come in on Duke to tighten up the lines, Dandois will be worth a play. At the current odds, I am going to have to recommend a pass here. I think Dandois finds success in taking the fight to the mat here, where I think she stands a decent chance of putting Duke away via ground and pound TKO; but if not, I think she will do enough to secure at least two out of three rounds for a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. Duke has not tasted victory in years, but if she can keep this fight standing, it will be close but she can pull it out. Gabe’s Call: Dandois by T/KO (punches, 3:38 round 2) Gabe’s Recommended Play: AVOID
