Plays for RFA 40

ChicoCamusRessurection Fighting Alliance (RFA) returns tonight with RFA 40 from the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, MN. The event will feature a two fight untelevised preliminary card and a six fight main card to follow, which will be live on AXS TV starting at 10pm ET. If interested in wagering on any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my live dogs for RFA 40: Flyweight bout: Chico Camus (-350) vs Czar Sklavos (+250) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think this is going to be a closely contested bout between Camus and Sklavos, and I expect it to be largely in part contested on the mat. I think both 125-pounders will have their moments on the mat and more often than not, Camus should be able to win at least two out of three rounds for a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. However, Sklavos has a likelihood of edging out two out of three rounds himself and possibly securing submission finish along the way, should fatigue begin to set in for Camus, which probably is unlikely, as he has improved his cardio over the past couple of years. To conclude, while I favor Camus to get his hand raised more often than not, I think this fight is closer than the current betting odds suggest and see a little value in Sklavos as a two and a half to one underdog. Gabe’s Call: Camus by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Sklavos (+250) .5u to win 1.25u Bantamweight bout: Marvin Blumer (-105) vs Terrion Ware (-135) Gabe’s Thoughts: To put it simply, I believe Ware is the superior striker heading into this 135-pound contest and I see him finding success in keeping this fight standing and outstriking Blumer for three rounds of action to pick up a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards; potentially securing a T/KO finish along the way. Gabe’s Call: Ware by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Ware (-135) ) 4.05u to win 3u
