Titan FC 38’s Steve Carl: ‘Belal Muhammad really lacks a killer instinct’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Titan FC 38 welterweight Steve Carl as he prepares for his upcoming main event title fight this Saturday night (April 30, 2016) against Belal Muhammad at the Miccosukee Casino in Miami, Florida.

The former World Series of Fighting welterweight champion is hoping to add some more gold to his mantle, and he believes he’ll have to turn up the aggression to get it done against a more tentative opponent:

“As a competitor, [Belal Muhammad] really lacks a killer instinct. I don’t know if he’s more of a striker or wrestler. He looks to have decent technical counter-punching stand-up but any time he faces somebody that’s bigger or stronger like me, he’s pot-shotting, circling and running away. He’s got really good cardio and he uses his technique and cardio to point fights.”
