MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC on Fox 19 featherweight Cub Swanson as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout this Saturday night (April 16, 2016) against Hacran Dias at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
The top contender is coming off two tough losses to top five opponents Frankie Edgar and Max Holloway and he’s hoping to make a statement and bounce back into the title hunt:
“This is a pretty important fight for me. I lost my last two and they were top guys and this guy is ranked #10 so it shows I belong in the top 10 which I feel I do. I just need to get a win and not only that, I need to dominate. [Hacran Dias] has never been finished and I’d like to finish him. I’d like to make a statement, hopefully get another fight and say after this fight that I’m one more fight from getting into title contention. That’s just what I expect from myself.”
