Dan Henderson: ‘I’m sure it’s not the first time Machida’s taken something he shouldn’t have’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Dan Henderson, who was expecting to fight Lyoto Machida this Saturday night (April 16, 2016) at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, before Machida tested posted for banned substances and the fight was cancelled. Editor’s note: There are a few audio issues about halfway through the interview.

Needless to say, Henderson isn’t happy about the situation:

“All I know is it was pretty fishy and I’m sure it’s not the first time [Machida]’s taken something he shouldn’t have. I’ve heard for a while, even a couple weeks ago I was told that they’d be surprised if Machida passed the drug test. I was thinking after the fight drug test, not pre-fight where the fight got cancelled. Had we known about it, I could have gotten a new opponent instead of waiting another two months without getting paid my show money.”
