Miesha Tate defends women’s bantamweight title at UFC 200 against Amanda Nunes As announced on “UFC Tonight” Wednesday evening, newly crowned women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate defends her title against Amanda Nunes. Tate (18-5) captured the bantamweight title with a late submission finish over Holly Holm at UFC 196. Nunes (11-4) also fought on that event, defeating Valentina Shevchenko by unanimous decision for her third straight win. UFC 200 takes place July 9 at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Here’s an updated look at the card. These matchups include James Krause (23-7) vs. Ross Pearson (19-10); Scott Askham (14-2) vs. Anthony Smith (25-11); and Li Jingliang (10-4) vs. Anton Zafir (7-2). Souza (9-0) heads into this matchup off a TKO victory over DeAnna Bennett back in January. Seven of the Brazillian’s nine wins have come by submission. Hill (4-2) is coming off a second round knockout victory over Stephanie Eggink at Invicta FC 16 back in March. The TUF 20 competitor has now won back to back fights since being released from the UFC.  Other additions to the card include strawweights Mizuki Inoue (11-4) taking on Aline Serio (9-5), featherweights Charmaine Tweet (8-5) vs. Latoya Walker (5-0), atomweights Julia Jones (4-0) vs. Tessa Rose Simpson (4-1), and Megan Anderson (5-2) vs. Amanda Bell (3-3).
