UFC on FUEL TV 3 Odds: Welterweights Jorge Lopez (+160) vs. Amir Sadollah (-200)

Jorge Lopez (+160) Profile: Lopez (11-2) suffered a loss to Justin Edwards via unanimous decision in his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night: Shields vs. Ellenberger last September 17.  Prior to that setback, the 23-year-old Lopez had won 10 bouts in a row, although none of them came against notable opponents.  Among the different events Lopez has competed are Tachi Palace Fights, MMA Xplosion, World Collide and Throwdown Showdown.  His only other previous loss came against Nick Rossborough by split decision at Cage Fighting Championships 3 on August 3, 2007. Amir Sadollah (-200) Profile: Sadollah (5-3) is still trying to establish himself in the welterweight division after winning Season 7 of The Ultimate Fighter as a middleweight.  The 31-year-old fighter lost his debut at welterweight to Johny Hendricks via first-round TKO at UFC 101 and has also dropped unanimous decisions to Kim Dong-Hyun at UFC 114 and Duane Ludwig at UFC Live: Hardy vs. Lytle since then.  The setback against Ludwig in his last fight came last August 14 following wins over DaMarques Johnson at UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis and Peter Sobotta at UFC 122. Odds Analysis: MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas made Sadollah the -200 favorite (bet $200 to win $100) in his opening UFC odds with Lopez a +160 underdog (bet $100 to win $160).  Sadollah had some early ailments to deal with after winning TUF 7, including a leg infection and broken clavicle, which kept him from fighting right away.  After a delay of more than one year, he faced a very difficult opponent in Hendricks and lost before winning four of his next six bouts.  Sadollah remains an intriguing prospect though and will get the opportunity to fight for the first time in 2012 against an opponent who is also looking to make a name for himself in the UFC.  Lopez was originally scheduled to meet Sadollah at UFC 143, but an injury to Sadollah postponed the matchup until now.  Both losses for Lopez have come by decision while five of his 11 wins have resulted in knockouts and six went the distance.  Lopez has a slight edge in experience based on his number of pro fights while Sadollah has the advantage of facing higher-quality opponents.
