Plays for Invicta FC 16

Amber BrownInvicta FC 16 Date: March 11, 2016 Arena: Trinidad Pavilion at Tropicana City: Las Vegas, NV Invicta Fighting Championship (Invicta FC) heads to Las Vegas with Invicta FC 16: Hamasaki vs Brown. The action will kick off at 10:30pm ET on UFC Fight Pass and will feature nine bouts in entirety. If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my plays: Atomweight title bout: Ayaka Hamasaki (-170) vs Amber Brown (+130) Gabe’s Thoughts: I believe Brown is the superior fighter heading into this 105-pound title fight and believe she will get the better of Hamasaki over the course of 25 minutes of action for a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. I see her getting the better of the Japanese fighter in the clinch, as well as on the mat with her heavy pressure from top position. I see Brown getting her hand raised tomorrow night and having the Invicta atomweight title wrapped around her waist. I think this is her fight to lose and think she should be a -180 betting favorite heading in, so I really like her for a value play at her current underdog price of +130. Gabe’s Call: Brown by Unanimous Decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Brown (+130) 3u to win 3.9u Flyweight bout: Jennifer Maia (+135) vs Vanessa Porto (-175) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Porto is a rightful betting favorite here and believe he should be a bigger favorite. Maia may be able to keep things close on the feet, but I see Porto mixing it up with takedowns and just getting the better of her everywhere. Maia could end up making this a close one, or Porto could walk away with it, but whatever happens within the 15 minutes of action, I think the fight culminates with Porto getting her hand raised. At her current offering price of -175, I think she is worth a wager. Gabe’s Call: Porto by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Porto (-175) 1.75u to win 1u
