Prop Plays for UFC Fight Night 83

Joe-RiggsUFC Fight Night 83 Date: February 21, 2016 Arena: Consol Energy Center City: Pittsburgh, PA The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Pittsburgh, PA for the second time in promotional history with UFC Fight Night 83: Cowboy vs Cowboy. The main card will be live on FOX Sports 1 at 9pm ET, with preliminary action preciding it on the same channel at 7pm ET. If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakerss. Here are my prop plays: Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira (+260) vs Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (-290) Oliveira +3.5 (+160) 1u to win 1.6u I think Oliveira has a good chance at getting his hand raised in this match-up. I was initially leaning towards Cerrone with my pick while betting Oliveira for value, but following last night’s weigh-ins, I have switched my official pick to Oliveira. I think the Brazilian “Cowboy” can win this fight by T/KO or decision, but I could also see him losing a close decision, as well as getting finished by T/KO or submission. In the case he loses a decision, I think the prop for Oliveira +3.5 will still cash. I think this is a solid play and I like it for a play at it’s current offering price of +160. It was +195 last night when I was able to get to it but I think it still holds value at +160. Chris Camozzi (-245) vs Joe Riggs (+220) Riggs by Decision (+440) 1u to win 4.4u Putting it simply, I believe Riggs has a massive grappling advantage heading into this bout and think he will find success with his takedowns and top position for the majority of three rounds of action en route to a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. Jonavin Webb (-245) vs Nathan Coy (+225) Coy by Decision (+345) 1u to win 3.45u In short, I can see Coy making this an ugly fight and using his superior wrestling to pick up his first UFC win on the judges’ scorecards. Kelly Faszholz (+305) vs Lauren Murphy (-335) Murphy Inside the Distance (+250) 1u to win 2.5u Murphy is the superior mixed martial artist heading into this contest against short notice promotional newcomer Faszholz. I think she has a good chance of scoring a stoppage in this bout, most likely by T/KO. She will have advantages in striking, wrestling and cardio, so I expect her to dominate the promotional newcomer in this contest and eventually secure a finish.
