Bellator 148’s Raphael Butler: ‘Tony Johnson Jr’s striking isn’t where it should be’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 148 heavyweight Raphael Butler as he prepares for his main card bout this Friday night (January 29, 2016) against Tony Johnson Jr. at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

The former boxer expects to have a huge edge against his opponent should the fight stay standing, but he realizes that Johnson Jr’s biggest strength is his wrestling and he plans to be prepared for it:

“I’ve seen him fight Volkov. In that, I noticed his wrestling was superb. He did great on the ground, but his striking wasn’t where it should be to be at the level of this type of fighter. If he had any holes, it’d be that, but he definitely makes up for it with his wrestling.”
