BJ Penn on a Comeback: ‘I’m not too old to beat somebody up but I’m too old to get beat up’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn at his UFC gym in Hawaii.

The former multi-division UFC champion at both lightweight and welterweight announced he was planning a comeback out of retirement earlier this year and he elaborated on his decision:

“If this all does go forward and we do end up coming back, I want to take every advantage that I can of every single type of training whether it’s high elevation to whatever new training is out there. I want to be ready, I want to be my best. There’s no sense for me to walk into the ring and get beat up. The way I feel is, I’m not too old to beat somebody up but I’m too old to get beat up so I better be ready.”
