WSOF 23’s Justin Gaethje: ‘I’m hoping I finish [Palomino] quick’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with World Series of Fighting 23 lightweight champion Justin Gaethje as he prepares for his upcoming main event title fight rematch this Friday night (September 18, 2015) against Luis Palomino at the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.

The undefeated champion hurt Palomino several times early in their last fight, but the contest ended up getting dragged a few rounds deeper than many expected. He’s hoping to rectify that situation in the rematch:

“I’m confident in my skills. I dropped [Palomino] three times in the first round in the last fight. They weren’t on the button but they were pretty close. He went down three times and one of those could easily be a knockout this fight so I’m hoping I finish him quick. That’s my plan. That’s always my plan. I’m gonna pick my shots. I’m not gonna try to go in there and go for the kill automatically. I’m gonna pick my shots and do it the right way and use some technique.”
