Bellator’s Bubba Jenkins talks ‘Tip-A-Fighter’ with Frank Trigg

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator featherweight Bubba Jenkins about his ‘Tip-A-Fighter’ website, which is all about allowing fans to help sponsor fighters and get invested in their careers.

We’ll let Bubba explain the TipAFighter site in his own words:

“We created this website, you put your profile on it as a fighter and you tell your fans that’s where you are. A lot of people got hurt by the Reebok deal in the UFC and some of the smaller guys, it’s another way they can have fans interact with them, have fans support them. Even sponsors. They’re not allowed to have the sponsors on their shorts but they can have them on their Tip-A-Fighter profiles, they can put the people who are supporting them there without any charge them. You can support any fighter you want and tip them. The least amount you can tip any fighter is $5. Obviously the key time to tip them is right after a fight. That emotional response that you got. Michael Johnson just had a fight he lost not too long ago that a lot of people thought he won. You can go to Tip-A-Fighter and give him your gratitude with a tip. Some guys are making money and some guys aren’t. I tip my taxi driver, the bartender, and I had the best time watching a fighter entertain me and we don’t tip them at all. So this is a way we can support someone that entertains us.”
