MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 141 lightweight Saad Awad as he prepares for his upcoming co-main event this Friday night (August 28, 2015) against Patricky Pitbull at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California.
The former tournament finalist feels that now is his time and he’s at his peak both physically and technically to the point where he can hang with Pitbull in every facet of the sport:
“I don’t mind trading with anybody. I’ve never ran from anyone or feared people’s power. I don’t mind going out there and boxing with [Patricky Pitbull]. I know he’s a black belt in BJJ too and his submission defense is up there. He went three rounds with Marcin Held, who catches everybody. I’m in great shape. I’ve ben wrestling a lot and getting that wrestling cardio so I know I can go three rounds standing or on the ground. I think I’ll break him with my conditioning if I don’t knock him out.”
