61f9e7fc98b11beda1f7427d58379565Canadian Misha Cirkunov has signed a multi fight deal with the UFC per his manager Pat Wilson of RISE Management. Cirkunov (9-2) is the current Hard Knocks light heavyweight champion and has won his last four fights by stoppage. The Toronto native has been featured numerous times on MMAOddsBreaker and was also part of the “Five Canadians that Belong in the UFC” article back in March. The 28-year old was born in Latvia and moved to Canada when he was 13 years old. He was a Canadian national-level competitor in both wrestling and Judo, before starting his MMA career in 2010. He holds notable wins over former UFC fighter Rodney Wallace and most recently defeated Bellator veteran Shaun Asher last month at Hard Knocks 43. While no opponent or date has been set for his debut, it’s likely we could see him on the upcoming Canadian UFC Fight Night event August 23rd in Saskatchewan. Stay tuned to MMAOddsBreaker as The Parting Shot Podcast will have an exclusive interview later this evening with the recently signed UFC fighter.
