Bellator 136’s Joe Schilling: ‘I have a hard time believing anyone will stand with me’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 136 middleweight Joe Schilling as he prepares for his upcoming main card bout this Friday night (April 10, 2015) against Rafael Carvalho at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California.

The talented kickboxer is taking this transition to mixed martial arts seriously and he doesn’t feel anyone will have a striking advantage against him inside the cage:

“You could say they’re giving me a picture perfect match-up, another stand-up guy, but I have a hard time believing that anybody is going to see my accolades in kickboxing and still decide to stand with me. I find it very unlikely that he’s going to go out there and just stand up with me and see how it goes. It’s a mixed martial arts fight and that’s what I’m preparing for.”
