UFC Fight Night 59’s John Howard: ‘The difference is he’s been knocked out before, I haven’t’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 59 welterweight John Howard about his upcoming preliminary card bout tomorrow night (Jan. 18, 2015) against Lorenz Larkin at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The veteran and Massachusetts native has experience against plenty of solid strikers, and he feels his superior chin could make all the difference come fight time:

“He’s a good striker and a powerful striker. It’s gonna be a chess match, but once someone makes a wrong move, we’ve got to expose it. He’s a power hitter, I’m a power hitter. It’s gonna start off slow, a little boring, but once we get each other figured out, we’re just gonna go HAM. The difference between me and him is he’s been knocked out before. I haven’t. Not to say he can’t knock me out, but it’s been proved before he can be knocked out and I’ve fought some of the best strikers in the world and I haven’t been knocked out. Everyone knows that I’m one of the heavy hitters.”
