Stipe Miocic on tough JDS defeat: ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC heavyweight contender Stipe Miocic about his recent headlining performance against former champion Junior dos Santos in the main event of UFC on Fox 13 a week and a half ago (Dec. 13, 2014) in Phoenix, Arizona.

The talented Ohio native understands what went wrong near the end of the fight, and he’ll be doing everything he can to learn from his gritty defeat and come back better than ever:

“I spar twice a week. I make sure to keep my hands up. I just got tired. No matter who you are, if you’re tired, your hands are gonna fall. I’ll admit I was tired, but I was ready for a five round fight and I was in shape. I know I was. I’m gonna do whatever it takes for the next fight. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
