Five Crazy UFC FN 54 Prop Bets That Cashed Big

Chris-Kelades Five crazy prop bets is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every UFC event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card Here’s five crazy UFC Fight Night 54 bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Rory MacDonald wins in round 3 (+1000) In the main event of the evening, Rory MacDonald put on a spectacular performance that culminated in him knocking out Tarec Saffiedine in the third round with punches. Most expected MacDonald to win the fight by decision, which seems to be his trademark at this point, but he was more aggressive than usual in the third round against Saffiedine and it paid off with a brilliant knockout. The prop on MacDonald wins in round 3 cashed at +1000, and congrats to anyone who bet it. Daron Cruickshank wins by decision (+273) In a lightweight bout, Daron Cruickshank showed off his underrated wrestling game as was able to expose Anthony Njokuani’s porous takedown defence and edge out a unanimous decision. Cruickshank didn’t really show off his vaunted striking in the bout but at the end of the day he picked up the win and that’s all that matters. The prop on Cruickshank by decision scored at +273, so nice job to anyone who bet it. Olivier Aubin-Mercier wins in round 2 (+375) In a lightweight bout, Olivier Aubin-Mercier showed exactly why there’s so much hype surrounding him as he was able to submit Jake Lindsey in the second round with a unique sub on on the ground. OAM is one of the better prospects at 155lbs coming out of Canada and I believe he has a bright future in him. For now, though, bettors continue to rack up money by betting on him, and anyone who backed him to win in the second round against Lindsey was rewarded at a +375 clip. Paul Felder wins by decision (+495) In a lightweight contest, Paul Felder was able to outpoint Jason Saggo and take home a close split decision victory. This was a very close fight that a judge could have given to either fighter but Felder’s constant workrate throughout the contest won it for him on the scorecards. Felder was one of two underdog who won on the night, and those who backed him and his props did well in the money department. The prop on Felder wins by decision cashed at +495, so nice job to anyone who bet that. Chris Kelades wins by decision (+422) In a flyweight bout, Chris Kelades defeated Patrick Holohan via unanimous decision on just five days’ notice. There weren’t many people picking Kelades — I certainly wasn’t — but he looked great in this fight and it makes you wonder just how bad he would have beat up Holohan had he been given a full camp. Either way, Kelades won, and he’ll move up the ladder, and those who bet on the Kelades by decision prop at +422 were rewarded as well.
