MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 52 bantamweight Myles Jury as he prepares for his upcoming co-main event bout against Takanori Gomi Saturday (September 20, 2014) at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
The unbeaten prospect out of The Ultimate Fighter season 15 expects a stern test against Gomi come fight time, but he also isn’t expecting anything new from the Japanese veteran:
“I’m preparing for the Gomi of the old days. I’m preparing for the Gomi that comes out there and throws bombs, defends takedowns and busts you up. I’m definitely preparing for the best Gomi, but over the years of watching Gomi, I don’t see too much evolution. I feel like he still goes in there, likes to throw his hands, defends takedowns and likes to keep it on the feet.”
